In this audio podcast Shri Njeralathu Harigovindan talks about his activities during these difficult times of Covid 19.

He talks about his father and legend Shri Njeralathu Ramapoduval. He also explains how he was different from others but still was a celebrated anarchy. However his life was different when compared to the anarchist lifestyle of other geniuses such as A Ayyappan, John Abraham, Surasu etc. For instance he talks about the evolution of Sopana sangeetham by the adoption of Ashtapathi to the art form. Also he talks about efforts that Shri Njeralathu Ramapoduval had taken to make this art form popular among general public. This also includes introducing this art through films of directors such as G Aravindan, John Abraham, Renjith, I.V. Sasi etc.

Moreover Harigovindan  explains about the importance of promotion of music of the land including folk, Adivasi, traditional music. He talks about his efforts in this direction. These songs are evolved as a part of life style of malayali and was not created artificially. Hence it is critical to preserve and nurture these art forms.

For instance he mentions about Nanjamma who sang the viral song ‘Kalakatha’ of movie ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’.
